David Warrilow – MSc(Chem), MSc(IP), CPA, EPA, CTMA
Director, Patent & Trademark Attorney

David graduated from Birmingham University with a Masters degree in chemistry before obtaining a further Masters degree in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University, London. When qualifying as a UK trademark attorney David was awarded the Payne/Bennett Memorial prize by the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys for the highest mark that year in the trademark search paper. David joined the profession in 2001, and worked with major firms of patent and trademark attorneys before founding London IP in 2009.

Paul Harman – BSc, ARCS, CPA, EPA
Director, Patent Attorney

After obtaining a degree in Physics at Imperial College London, Paul joined the profession in 1993 working in private practice, including the patent commercialisation and licensing company QED, and the head of patents at the London office of a private practice. Paul has experience across the mechanical and electrical engineering fields software-implemented inventions and business method fields, with significant experience of protecting ‘difficult to patent’ inventions. Paul also advises on trademarks and registered designs.

Martyn Molyneaux – EPA, Chartered Engineer, FIEE, European Engineer
European Patent Attorney

Martyn’s experience is in the field of electronics, but his work also includes drafting and the worldwide patenting of downhole retrieval equipment, interactive TV, intelligent robotic equipment and automobile electronics. Martyn has extensive experience with mechanical inventions of all types and spent many years conducting hearings at the European Patent Office on behalf of multinational companies. Martyn was involved in character merchandising actions for film studios, and was responsible for obtaining the “Polo” logo trademark in the UK for Ralph Lauren.

Louisa Fielding – LLB, CTMA
Trademark Attorney

Louisa began her career working in trade marks after completing a law degree at Bristol and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. She started out in a specialist patent and trade mark firm and after her initial training she made an exciting move to a law firm in the Cayman Islands to work in the IP department. Louisa advises on all aspects of brand protection and enforcement in the UK and Europe as well as managing global trade mark portfolios spanning a number of different commercial sectors.

Katrina Peebles – BSc, MSc, CPA, EPA
Patent Attorney

Katrina is a patent attorney specializing in life sciences. Katrina joined the patent and trade mark profession in 1997, after graduating from St Andrews University with a BSc in Biochemistry with Microbiology and Biotechnology and a MSc in Management of Intellectual Property Law from University of London. Katrina has extensive experience in prosecuting patent applications for biochemical and chemical inventions on behalf of individual inventors, Universities and multi-national companies.

James Mitchiner – BSc, PGDipLaw, LLM, Solicitor
Solicitor

James Mitchiner is a solicitor specializing in litigious intellectual property (IP) matters. He has been practicing in IP for over 20 years in various City and national law firms. James is an expert in enforcing IP and also defending clients from allegations of IP infringement.
